Celis

Dear Sacaton Families and Students,

As we approach the final stretch of the school year, I want to express my gratitude to each of you for your invaluable partnership in helping our students thrive until the end of the year. Our Capturing Kids Hearts theme for April, "Perseverance," underscores the importance of persistence in achieving success. We encourage you to continue providing your unwavering support, knowing that not only your child's teachers, but also all school staff, are here to assist you every step of the way.

Some recent highlights were our school's participation in the Mul Cha Tha parade. The enthusiasm and involvement from our students, staff, and community members were truly remarkable. Our cheer team earned 2nd place in their category, while our float earned 3rd place. We are also honored to announce essay winners for the Mul Cha Tha Essay Contest: 1st Place, Symphonie C., 4th grade Kelly’s class, 2nd Place - Caulnon L., 4th grade Kelly’s class, 3rd Place- Justice A., 4th grade Dominguez’s class.

Below you will find information on upcoming dates. The first will be our Kindergarten Round Up. If you would like to learn more about kindergarten for the upcoming school year please sign-up with the front office. Our school number is 520-562-860 ext. 3000.

Topics that will be discussed:

  • Learn about Sacaton Elementary

  • Tour the Campus

  • Gather enrollment information

State Testing: Our 3rd and 4th graders will begin taking the Arizona Academic Standards Assessments (AASA) in reading, writing and math. The testing window will begin the week of April 8th - April 26th. Please work hard to limit appointments that will interfere with testing. Attendance and arriving at school on time is very important, especially during the testing window as we want all students to have the best opportunity to perform their best when testing.

  • Sleep Well- Get a good night's rest. Students need 9-11 hours a night.

  • Encourage your child to do their best.

  • Strive to Arrive on time and Stay all Day

I am delighted to share our pride in the dedication shown by both our students and staff towards participating in enriching activities after school. Below are some pictures from the engaging sessions of our Lego Club.

We feel fortunate to have such talented staff who not only impart knowledge about Legos but also incorporate STEAM concepts into other clubs such as Guitar, Cooking, and Gardening. These activities not only enhance student skills but also foster a love for learning beyond the classroom.
