Dear Sacaton Elementary Families,
I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and high spirits as we transition into the beautiful month of November. This month is a time of reflection, gratitude, and the anticipation of the holiday season, and we have some exciting updates and important information to share with you.
We are thrilled to announce that our school has earned a "B" letter grade! This is a fantastic achievement for our entire community, reflecting the dedication, hard work, and growth of our students, staff, and families. We plan to have a celebration for our students and will be sure to follow up with details.
Safety is our top priority, and we are taking proactive steps to keep our campus safe for everyone. To help with this, we’ll be introducing the use of a handheld metal detector wand. This tool can help us identify items that shouldn't be on campus. The wand will only be used if there’s a specific situation that raises concern. Our goal is always to keep your children safe while creating a secure and welcoming environment for everyone!
Thanksgiving Family Lunch: It's the season of gratitude, and we want to celebrate Thanksgiving together as a community. On Tuesday, November 26th, we will be hosting a Thanksgiving lunch in our Sacaton Elementary Cafeteria.
Thova (Turkey) Trot will be held on Tuesday, November 26th starting at 9:00 AM. We will be starting the run by the elementary 3rd/4th grade playground.
Holiday Craft Night: We are scheduled to have our Holiday Arts and Craft Night on Thursday, December 12th from 4:30 PM- 6:30 PM in the Middle School Gym.
