Engage Embrace   Contribute

Hello Sacaton Families,

As we gear up for the final quarter of the school year, I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU for all your support! Your partnership has been so important in helping our students finish the year strong, and we truly appreciate all you do.

This month, our Capturing Kids' Hearts focus is all about Courage. We're teaching students that courage isn't about magically making fear disappear, it's about making the choice to move forward, even when things feel hard or uncertain. Encouraging our students to embrace courage can make a big difference as they face challenges both in and out of the classroom.

A Quick Reminder About Uniforms and Backpacks Our school uniform includes a purple, white, or yellow shirt with dark bottoms, along with a clear backpack. We recently purchased sweatshirts to help keep our students warm, so we kindly ask that hoodies stay at home. Hoodies have become a concern both on campus and on the buses, and we appreciate your help in ensuring our school environment stays safe and focused on learning. Thank you for supporting this ongoing initiative!

Picture Day is coming up on Wednesday, March 19th. Students are invited to participate in a free dress day and show off their spring outfits for their photos. Please remember to choose outfits that are still school-appropriate. We can’t wait to see everyone looking their best.

Reporting Absences If your child is going to be absent, please let us know either in advance or as soon as possible on the day of the absence. Keeping us informed helps us stay connected and support your child. If we don't hear from you, we'll do our best to reach out by phone, so it's super important that we have your most up-to-date contact information. If your phone number or address changes, please let our office staff know right away.

Spring Conferences & Break This week, your child's teacher will be reaching out to schedule spring conferences, which will take place on Thursday, March 20th and Friday, March 21st. We truly appreciate your involvement, and as a token of our thanks, we invite you to stop by the cafeteria between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM on March 20th for pizza and a drink!

State Testing Our 3rd and 4th graders will begin taking the Arizona Academic Standards Assessments (AASA) in reading, writing and math. The testing window will begin the week of April 8th - April 25th. Please work hard to limit appointments that will interfere with testing. Attendance and arriving at school on time is very important, especially during the testing window as we want all students to have the best opportunity to perform their best when testing.

  • Sleep Well- Get a good night's rest. Students need 9-11 hours a night.

  • Encourage your child to do their best.

  • Strive to Arrive on time and Stay all Day

Thank you again for being such an important part of our school community. We appreciate you!
