Happy 4th of July Sacaton Braves! 🇺🇸

From Athletic Department:
Parents, Guardians, and Students, we are approaching the end of the month of June. We are halfway through the summer. If you have not turned in or picked up your physical forms from Sacaton Middle School (front office), please do so. It will eliminate rushing around the last minute and your child not being able to practice/play for the sport they choose. This includes those students playing one sport during mid school year.
Please make sure both students and parents/guardian sign in the spaces provided on each form. Also, before submitting your physical to the middle school, make sure you make a copy for your records. These physicals are to be completed every academic school year for those that may have questions.
For those individuals looking to volunteer (non-stipend) to coach for the 2024-2025 School Year, volunteer forms can be picked up at Human Resource office. The following are required along with the volunteer forms:
1. Completed Volunteer Form
2. Reliable phone number and email address
3. Copy of driver's license
4. Copy of Fingerprint Clearance Card (updated expiration date)
5. Must be 21 years of age
6. Coaching Certification (Fundamentals of Coaching or Sport Specific) are not required but recommended through NFHSlearn.com
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Cameron Timms, Teacher/Athletic Director

Parents/Guardians, attached are flyers for Summer Basketball Clinics that you may have interest in. These Clinics will be a great opportunity for your child to build their leadership, basketball skill development and life skills.
As you're aware, our students at Sacaton MS have the talent to improve their basketball skills. Not only will Sacaton MS have winning athletic seasons moving forward but also play high school basketball at Skyline Prep, Gila River or AZ Compass Prep.
If you have any questions, please call the phone numbers listed on the flyers. I will also be available to answer any questions until Thursday, May 24th thereafter, I will be on summer break. The fee's may be high but they are willing to work with our students here at Sacaton MS.

Athletics:
Parents, attached is a flyer for an upcoming basketball camp. I truly believe this will be a great opportunity for your child to get the best out of the sport. Please contact Skyline Gila River for more information .

From the Athletic Department :
It was a pleasure to see all the students participate in sports this school year. We had students that never played sports before to others returning from last year. I'm seeing that students are testing the field of athletics and enjoying it.
Parents, your continuous positive support with your child in sports is much appreciated. To get a jump start for next school year, you can pick up a 2024-2025 Physical Packet from the Middle School front office.
Keep an eye out for camps and/or workouts that may happen during the month of June.
Attached are some photos from the year of sports. Have a great summer!

Sacaton Elementary Preschoolers enjoyed their end of the year field trip at the Ostrich Farm. They explored the animal habitats and got to feed the many animals. This was a great experience to end the school year!

This weeks softball/basketball games were played at Villago MS with a home game against Casa Grande MS. The softball game consisted of a forfeit by Casa Grande, giving Sacaton MS a Win on the schedule (2 wins for the season).
During halftime of the boys basketball game, the 8th grade student athletes along with their parents were recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom and on the athletic court/field.
Sacaton Track & Field also competed at Casa Grande MS on Thursday, ending their season with great accomplishments and looking forward to student participation next school year.
A shout-out to the parents for their support throughout the school year!
Another Shout-Out goes out to the coaches for putting in the extra time to teach in the classroom and on the court/field!
